But es sorcs with an es under 80% should be allowed to mana pot

They can against vita, and against es, low es has an advantage over high es (putting aside cold for the moment), allowing mana pots would help the high es more in that case, though not by much really.

Misunderstanding, what I meant was:

They can against vita.

Against es, mana potting would favor the high es sorc anyway, so it's not really an issue.

so basically, when you say:
vit vs vit can mana pot
es vs es can mana pot
es vs vit can mana pot.... all sorcs can mana pot LOL
there is no other combination

unless you say what % of es allows for potting vs whoever

No, es vs es cannot mana pot.. I thought it was pretty clear..

I was talking in the hypothetical.

no you werent clear at all... you majorly contradicted yourself
dont try and insult my intelligence
reread what you just said
and if you dont realize what you said, keep rereading it until you do

and in an es vs es situation... both sorcs would want to mana pot, so why not let them?

I never said es sorc could pot against es sorc. I said "Against es, mana potting would favor the high es sorc anyway, so it's not really an issue."

Key word being 'would'.

Why not let them? Personally I don't care. In my opinion, all mana pots do are reduce the time it takes to fully regen if that is what someone intends to do. There's nothing stopping people from fully regening mana. Ask Corwin about that particular rule, I don't think it affects the outcome of the duels in any way.
