so just to confirm, since its a double elimination bracket, who ever is on winners side of grand finals needs to be beaten twice in order to be eliminated, right?

If they are up against same person they lost the match previously.

X beats W in winner bracket, W makes his way back up from loser bracket, he needs to beat X twice because he lost previously a match against X.

by grand finals, i meant when only 2 players are remaining. one will be coming from losers side(lost once), and one will be on winners side(hasnt lost yet). the one from losers side would have to beat him 2 sets in a row. once to knock him into losers(grand final reset), 2nd to eliminate him.

Yes. If on winners side they would have to lose twice in championship since it’s double elimination
