but then that means you would have won even though he won more consistently
Only way win by 2 would be better is if it was still 3 matches, otherwise in that situation perhaps the lesser zealer may win.

My opinion is just the person who wins more duels overall is >, as holds true with statistics that a larger sample yields better consistency. So you could take a sample of 5 people who all hold an extreme quality, whereas if you had perhaps taken 50 people you would have gotten a more consistent and valid quality representative of the truth.

However you two also ended in a silly situation in that instance where you both came out even(16-16), and thus why i still hold the win by 2 rules would be better only if you still did it for multiple sets.

And I was actually just being a smartass they can run their ladder however they want
I really wasnt trying to start anything ..... this time

oh I know I was just explaining the logic around the whole thing, and that of course a Multiple set, win by more than 1 system would be > anything involving less duels, because the more there are the better validity in the outcome. But im sure it is the way it is for the same reason on the general gm melee ladder you only have 1 set unless top 3.
