Tge melee ladders are actually ft6 win by 2 since I run those ladders and prefer that system

. The tournies are always just ft6 however so it's kind of confusing but it's just done to save time since there are usually multiple games up for tournies. However since it's 2 sets for this ladder instead of just one the ft6 makes more sense to me. Just wanted to straighten that out xD.
yep, thanks brad. the idea of having 2 sets of ft6, instead of a single set of ft6 win by 2, is to even out the luck factor and put more emphasis on gear planning and strategy.
have replied to PreZident Brennon's post in my last post's edit too on previous page:

D2Child observed Cody & I's sets and I believed he was part of the ladder deal here, so I took his word for it when he said it's win by 2. Maybe he made a mistake.
By the way, I'm not 100% sure who earned 6 points first, but I believe I was 1-up on Cody for the last part of the match. I'll ask for Cody's & D2Child's opinion on that as well.
Sorry about the confusion, the phrasing in the rules might have been misleading, and prior to the ladder the majority of rules used have been PN rules.
The rationale behind was to have a challenge that lasts a considerable amount of time, and yet not be too long and draggy. Therefore even though it is only ft6, the win by 2 sets rule will even out close matchups.
Also, limiting the number of gear changes would add strategy and planning, and reduce unnecessary delays (i.e. changing of gear after every single point)
Hope this will clear the issue on ft6 or ft6 win by 2.

Ya i guess its my mistake sorry, but i remember i've spoke to hengster about the win by 2 on each set the day before this was posted.
However, the first page it did not mention, so we will just stick with hengster.
So there will be 2 sets of first to 6 only.

thanks kwan
