This is a GM Ladder

This is to bring back D2 how it used to be without enigma builds and battle orders on every character.
The intent is diverse PvP based on how people use to duel before teleporting around everywhere.

Ladder Specifications:
-All duels are FT5
-Duels are in Blood Moor
-GM Rules apply. No potting, mercs, nking, gold stealing, poor sportsmanship (excessive trolling/shit talking). Retards who break this rule get sent to the lowest ladder spot.
-No post-1.10 items are allowed (upped items permitted)
-No cube in inventory
-No pre-buffs
-No chance to cast % amplify items
-No slow target % items
-No poison damage items or skills allowed
-You are not allowed to cross the bridge if a bridge is present. If possible remake map to avoid bridges.

-You may challenge up to 3 spots above you
-If you win, you get a 2 day victory vacation from challenges below you
-You have 5 days within challenge to make the duel happen. Dodge rule applies. If the challenged makes 2 or more attempts and the challenger does not duel, the challenger loses 1 rank.

Just saying, I entered you topic for pure case.

I think that would be really hard to make 1.09 duels in the ways you proposed.
Isn't easy at all to find these old items and most of the current ones were used to spawn in 1.09 too, but with little differences.
So what, are you going to forbid a stormshield until somebody gets a 1.08 or a 1.08 one? Or whatever else...

But! But I find the idea interesting. Here in Europe we had (and few still have) rules about something similar to what you are aiming for.
It was called EP, that stends for Euro PvP. Just try to google ''diablo 2 ep rules'' and you will immediately spot some threads about that.
The rules are very complicate and detailed, but the purpose is interesting.

Us, as BvB community, we still apply similar rules on a specific kind of league called AoW. So, actually, in Europe you can
do BvB in three different ways: BM/pub way (that sucks, seriously), FFA rules (is free, just few smart restrictions), and AoW rules (way more restricted and fun).

So, my suggestion is to check these EP rules I was talking you about. I think you may find some good ideas for your league!

stormshield is 1.09

the idea is no enigma/battle orders... because they drastically changed the game. without 1.10 runewords people are less reliant on skills granted by gear or the high stats on 1.10+ gear.

also, the items required to do well on this ladder (except charms), are all cheap as dirt.



yeah psn vs low hp (no battle orders) iis just way too OP. same goes for venom / psn nova ect. otherwise people could use a weak psn skill but then stack up on psn charms, ect.

Wrong. There is a difference between Stormshield 1.08, Stormshield 1.09 and current 1.10 Stormshield.
That was just an example, of course. But you also have to keep in mind that in 1.09 synergies and skills were working differently.
If you are saying ''no items except 1.09 ones are allowed'' I assume you are going to be strict on that.

Anyway, take a look on the rules I'm talking about. It takes a couple of minutes and I think it really worth to be done.

I agree on that but I think most of the ppl today are unable to duel "1.09" style mainly for drastic lack of skill. Gl anyway
