There used to be weekly non-cast tournies held by the civic clan. Non-cast means even fort is bm but they do allow all other eth gear so it's mainly a lot of estone setups and the like. I think a normal non-tap tournie would be better though although I didn't go to them all that much anyway since I was always just a fan of tap duels .

this is because Ladder Melee used to consists of a bunch of "Pubs" in "elite zeal duel"
As far as I know there were never any "GM" Melee Ladders or Tourneys on Ladder
It was pretty disorganized and people made up whatever rules suited them
