Looking to build a PVP 95es infinity nova sorc, but I have some questions. Wondering if anyone would be kind enough to answer because I haven't played this game in 10 years.

I am looking to spend about 5k on this sorc.

1. Is Infinity considered GM?
2. Is Infinity nova / 95es sorc a solid dueler or do you end up having to get too close to your opponent for comfort?
3. Is it critical to hit 75allres? With my build, I would hit about 40allres, is that sufficient? If there is a resist I should focus on or ignore which would it be?
4. Is this a reasonable build?

Step 1 - Get 5k FG.

If you going infinity route, you should also be using griffons.

The whole point of nova build is to get their resistance into as high of negative values as possible.


At 95es, resistances other than poison do very little. I would focus on life rep boots with mana, or sandstorm treks vs characters you know will poison you. Or if you are lucky to find life rep boots with mana and poison res, that’s a win as wel.

Then swap to a 2/20 amulet so you can use frostburns, which will be a huge mana increase.

Additionally, if you notice they are easily stacking resistance against you, it’s advisable to swap into Hoto + Gerkes Sanctuartry. Then can either go enigma or vmagi or gladiators bane with a 2/20/2 sorceress circlet with rare adds, or 3/20/2 or 3 socket / 25 iDR or 2 socket /120 mana/ 20 FCR or 25 iDR or mDR

Basically if they are easily stacking resistance against you, you are swapping into a pseudo immortal build

Do you think Nova is a better option for dueling, or lightning? Lightning dmg seems a bit low having to put 20pts in telekinesis and ~15pts in es but I've never tried Nova in duels and seems it might be vulnerable

Lightning sorc in general is the worst of the 3 sorc types for pvp

But the best for pvm.
