DISCLAIMER: I figured I could throw this together to get the west shapeshift community more active. It is a work in progress, I am open to suggestions on rulesets, prizing, etc.



USWest Non-Ladder Shapeshifter Melee Tournament

Tournament Structure
Double Elimination
Open to any character that can shift into a werewolf or werebear
Start date is TBD by interest and if we can get enough participants

Match Rules
Matches will be first to 7, win by 2
Trophy matches will be first to 10, win by 2
Matches will take place in nightmare difficulty
In the case of mis-clicks, continue the duel, there are no re-dos
Any preexisting chilling armor/venom must be removed before the next duel
The winner of the duel must be able to make it back to town; otherwise, it is considered a draw (neither side gets a point)
Each player may swap gear/respec once during each match with the following conditions: after a death, before casting any skills, must maintain the same build

General Rules
Do not use third party programs
Do not use stash/cube prebuff
Do not use item charges on gear
Do not use potions or shrines of any kind
Do not run, kite, or adjust position during duel
Do not summon anything except Oak or HoW
Do not purposefully target opponent's Oak or HoW
If Oak Sage or HoW dies mid-duel; the player may recast it (without moving)
Do not leave game before completing the match
Must be able to pick up body after dying
Must stay in wereform for the entirety of the duel
Must recast wereform (without moving) if duration ends during a duel
Maximum resistance may not exceed 85 for any of the resistances

Gear Restrictions
Do not use any unperm items
Do not use items with knockback
Do not use items with slow target
Do not use items that have a chance to cast a curse
Do not use any gear with elemental absorb (ravenfrost excepted)
All ethereal gear must have self repair or indestructible mod (CTA/BO side excepted)

Also thoughts on the following:
Grief, Hybrids, ZBugs

I know most tournaments ban grief and whatnot, but I'm trying to be as inclusive as possible because I know some builds are just gimped w/o grief, especially the non-druid shifters. We could also impose restrictions based on build.
