I would like to know the rules of the tournament before signing up. It seems like the goal is to determine who the best dueler on US East is. However, if the tournament allows unconventional rules, it could create an imbalance between real skill and simply winning due to superior gear etc.

Speaking of balance, FPK matchups would be the most suitable for this type of competition, as these characters are designed to be balanced against each other. My concern is that if the goal is to identify the best dueler, it should be based on their skill and gameplay level, not on class or gear advantages. Competitors should be placed on a level playing field, where gear or class differences don’t significantly affect the outcome IMO—ensuring balanced matchups, rather than, for example, a V/T facing a Bowazon.

Are you trying to see who got the best suited character on useast to duel the player base their, or you trying to see who's the best pvp player ;)

General rules
The duel starts once everybody said "go" or "g"
Quitting the game results in a loss
When TvT one person is chosen by each team to say "g" for the whole team
Going to another location means a loss (exception - if you accidentally tp'd in town, then immediately came back)
No disappearing off your opponent's map for more than 10 seconds (=defwhoring?)
No overly defensive play (100% teleport off-screen as soon as you are on the opponent's mini-map)
No avoiding contact with an opponent intentionally with no plans of attacking
Refusal to show gear/inventory results in a loss
No naked killing
No mercenaries
No use of Healing, Rejuvenation, Thawing and Antidote potions during and before a duel
No excessive use of houses, walls
No stupid precasts/prebuffs like Cyclone Armor, Fade, Town BO
No casting of traps/missiles before both players say "g"
Oak from Nature/Wisp/HotO is fine, Fade precast from claws is fine, ES from Memory is fine
Enchant from Demon Limb is allowed if it stays in inventory (cube) during the duel
No other charges from items (only ones listed above)
Clay Golem is always allowed (Traps Assassins should use WSM bug to overstack Clay Golems slow)
No Holy Freeze against IAS-based characters and Traps assassin
Maximum Damage Reduced by and Magic Damage Reduced by - 30
Replenish Life is capped at 40
No use of Ethereal items (exception - item is Indestructible, has Zod rune or Self-repair/Replenish quantity)
No Teleport when using Widowmaker
Respecing during the duel is not allowed
No more than 10% slow from items
Maximum one 451 poison damage charm
Ties are null duels
Resistances
If using more than one item granting percent or integer absorb, the maximum resistance to any element is 75

Fire resistance:

85 maximum + 0% absorb
80 maximum + 15% absorb
Cold resistance:

max 400 total cold resistance + 0% absorb
max 320 total cold resistance + 20% absorb
max 250 total cold resistance + 40% cold absorb
If total cold resistance is more than 300, max cold resistance is 75

Lightning resistance:

85 maximum + 0% absorb
80 maximum + 20% absorb
Poison Resistance:

90 maximum + 0% PLR
85 maximum + 25% PLR
80 maximum + 75% PLR

Amazon:
Slow Missiles is banned
Assassin:
Dual-claw assassins: maximum resistance to any element is 80
W/S assassins: maximum resistance to any element is 85
Dual-claw assassins: only one item granting absorb is allowed
Necromancer:
Bone Wall is banned
Bone prison is allowed vs characters that have Teleport (only in 1v1)
Iron Maiden and Life Tap are banned

Drewg/Skidd Generalized FPK Rules 2021

General Rules
-No hacks of ANY kind.
-Both teams must say go
-The duels end when the entire other team dies, do not get body or help your team until then
-Trash talking is allowed adds to competition, pride is allowed, but overly defensive play in a matchup you are advantage in, isnt.
*i.e. TvN/TvD/BvN/DvB/DvN corresponding too (Sin chases nec) (Sin chases druid) (Barb chases Nec) (Druid trades with barb) (Druid chases Nec)
*the i.e. is typical, if play is questionable and life based, call for a neutral party or tournament admin to decide or DQ if needed

Specific Rules
-Level 94+ characters only.
-Duels take place in the blood moor.
-No thawing / antidote potions.
-No Rejuvenation / Health potions.
-No shrines / wells.
-No mercenaries.
-No doom vs IAS characters (Smite, zeal, WW, melee barb, Zon, etc).
-No pre-buffing AT ALL besides cube in your inventory.
-Max resist of any element is 85%* (or 5% max and 20% sorb).
-Max absorb of any element is 20%*.
-Can't use any +max resist or +%absorb with rising sun, T-gods, or luna.
-Life replenish is capped at 40 (exception of 52 for barbs with Angelic's).
-Max poison off of items + inventory is 451, NOT including venom dmg from grief / trangs.
-No more then 10% slow off items (with the exception of Arachnid Mesh).
-No casting charges from items(Aside from Oak sage or chant, you must let the opposing team know).
*Do not combine more then 1-5% max with more then 20% absorb, i.e. 20 Sorb with 10 stack is BM unless T-gods.

~Character Specific Rules~

Assassin:
-C/C assassins with above level 1 Traps or Claw Block can't use any +absorb or +max.
-Chance to cast amp on claws is banned.
-If level 1 trap you may use 5% Max resist aka ( Lo Or Wisp cannot use both on ghost sin) (i.e. 1 wisp OR 5% (Lo in helm)).
-All martial arts, including dragon claw, are GM.
-Whirlwind is banned.

Barbarian:
-BvC's may use two ravens with under 310 cold resist.
- Cube chant is debatable with opposing party (i.e. you may oak if I can chant).
-Slow on physical dmg dealt items are banned (Minus ARACH).
-Cube Warcries from inventory made be used before each duel.

Necro:
-Bone wall is banned.
-Lifetap is banned.
-Iron Maiden is banned.
-All corpse skills are banned.
-Prison is BM if enemy doesn't use enigma.
-May use hotspur or dwarf and 10%.
-Decrepify is debatable with opponent (You may decrepify if I can oak, or chant or both).

Druid:
T-gods is GM.
Recasting Cyclone Armor/Hurricane is GM.
Fpk druids may have shockwave and werebear stated and are encouraged to do so if skilled.
Volcano may be hard stat level 1 or granted by items.


Gameplay Restrictions
-Avoiding contact with an opponent intentionally with no plans of attacking.
-Casting of traps/missiles before both players say go(precasting....ask your girlfriend).
-Camping in houses - Deliberately dueling around the house and using the house to wsg teleport threw to cut mindblasts lock will result in a DQ if abused (Unless you're dueling Ry or Rohin from west, then its #WestRules).
-Entering Cold Plains is an automatic loss, unless accidental, to be decided by your opponent.
-If you tele into town by accident walk out do not stop and teleport out if you stop the round is over, you have lost.

Game Techniques
-there is no restrictions on in-game techniques (IBS, IGA, Farcast, Hammer-Fields, etc).
-No glitching (Aura Glitch, Skill Glitching, WW Glitch, Corpse Glitch, Blade fury, Flamebellow, Trangs Glitch, etc).
-Recording of duels is allowed.
