I played LOTRO back during vanilla, and have recently been considering coming back...

My main concerns are:
1) What class should I play? I first played a captain, and loathed every minute of it. Boring class in general...
I'd ideally play something similar to a warlock from WoW, as I'm into the caster playstyle.
2) How free to play is it? (Can I go the entire way without paying a dime, similar to GW2?)
3) Are low levels more bearable than back in vanilla? I don't have anyone to group with, so its gonna be almost 99% soloing.

The Game Isn't totally Free to play U need to buy the Expansions if u want to get to End game Content\

Heres the thing

Doing Slayer Quests (Killing same type of Monster through 3 Parts of Slayer) U can earn the Ingame Currency Starts at 5 pts for first and second (10 total) than for completing all of it u get 10pts (total of 20 all together)

If u do all the Slayer quests for ea Zone (Human/Elf/Hobbit) U can easilly get150-400 pts Which u can save for Expansion content (Their is a slayer Portion in Every area) Basically Doing these u can get end game Content But Is a Bitch to do

I honestly Like Hunter (ranged Dps with Crowd Control) Easy Class (No pet though) Honestly No body on these forums play much of this game But U can Possible get away with some Decent ratios of gold

I can reinstall this game 2marrow to join if u like

Well by around lvl 7-10 you will have to pay around 10 dollars for the mount riding skill. But this is not needed, it is not required, you can play the game without it.

I just started playing LOTRO in the last week, haven't spent a dime on it, and have already purchased the riding skill (which is only 95 turbine points) and a mount. So... what do you mean when you say "have to pay around 10 dollars" ?

But I did grind a lot deeds, because I find them somewhat fun. They're addicting and feel like achievements, but they have an actual reward tied in with them.
