nowadays i only read about lotro but i don't play it anymore for the same reason as you. i'd give GW2 a chance because it's TOTALLY different compared to GW1. it's like comparing WarCraft 3 to World of WarCraft. Nearly the same name but a different game, a different genre. my problem with lotro is that I played on Snowbourne and outside of Bree it was nearly impossible to meet someone in lower level zones + it was boring alone but even with my matey. :(

To answer your questions.. No your fg is pretty much worthless in lotro.. bout only thing it will get you is some gold but you can only find that from some of the more popualr servers and gold is almost useless..

also if your saying the gfx looked bad in lotro I dont suggest you play gw2 sounds like your machine isnt up to date or needs a better card.. Lotro gfx is actualy very good and has the abillity to be dumbed down alot also but if your gfx supports it you can jack the gfx up pretty damn hi and in pvp or raids you better have a good sytem if you dont want to lag..

This also goes for gw2 just playing the game levling not very demanding but the game is based on pvp and in wpvp you better have a good rig or expect to lag..

Daltong as I posted in one of your many other threads on the same topic from what Ive read you have never even started to expierence lotro.. First off this games multiplayer type of play doesnt even start till max level there is some instances along the way that you can group up and do.. But most people just push thru to max level.. You need max level to pvp atleast from a free peoples and most raids are done at max level or close to it... 55+

Lotro is basicaly a wow clone and you wouldnt go play wow to lvl20 and say that you played the game would you? cause you havnt... same goes here and just like wow... They may let you play some of the game for free but its by no means a free game...

Gw2 I also played it.. I found it hard to get into coming from the traditional mmo type of game play.. I did enjoy it for a little but I have not logged into since a week after I purchased it.. If interested I may could work something out with you on the extra copy I have laying around.. shoot me a pm if your interested.. ALso if you have any more questions about lotro or gw lmk..

You can get plenty in lotro for your fg. Just find someone who's selling lotro gold, get that, then you can buy a bunch of nasty items when you're a high lvl.
