I haven't played LLD in pretty much a decade but kept an eye on this forum.

I've been reading that mana potions are banned. What was the reasoning behind this? They were always allowed on east nl & east lad. Was it a EU/west rule that got carried over? I'm not questioning, I'm just genuinely curious.

I'm guessing duels are much longer now and people do less dmg to accomodate mana on circ/ammy/charms and Insight on switch? I can only imagine duels being very VERY painful early ladder when no good lld items dropped yet T.T

Mana pots been bm for every for lik ever... I started lld back in 2008... w/ the ez access to 15/10’s-12’s mana conservation isn’t an issue unless you’re bad.

Did you play on east or another server? I don't ever recall this being a rule. Or at the very least it was tolerated?

I play west, but I’m sure that no pots have been the general consensus on every realm.

Mana pots never been gm, when in doubt had to show belt in trade screen

But in pubs I dont think anyone cared. Hard enough to find a duel, not gonna moan if you pop a pot

Regardless, from how I understand it, D2r will now be global servers / cross-server (source: https://youtu.be/2qmMIq7jYV4?t=207), so we have to compile a GM list that all will follow. I'm guessing that has already been done?

Always banned on East on LLD101. That was a point of debate, because it was allowed in pub games and eventually on JSP on East.

I remember alot of people debating to allow them because it meant less people had to invest in 15/70s... even though no other realms has 15/70s.

AHHH yes I remember something like that! Allowed in public games and 4v4s, but not lld101 games.
No more 15/70s in d2r though. I can't imagine how tight the market will be for lld charms in the first few months of release.
Mayhaps we may consider making mana pots legal just in the beginning. Just a suggestion.

I’ve never seen the reason to not allow mana pots.

All it ever did was hurt players who couldn’t afford better gear so basically people with 100’s of more mana than you would be an advantage if you ran out before them.

Early lld I always used mana pots cause it made no sense I had to be crippled since you could afford the pricey items and I couldn’t.

Literally the only thing it should have been banned on is es sorcs.

I obviously don’t need them anymore as I use characters that don’t have mana issues now but in the beginning I always thought it was the dumbest rule
