Just been working on my first lld barb and was looking for more advice, i read the guides posted here on jsp and did more research around some other forums and from what I can gather conc barbs are just about pumping that defense and ar so i salpped together the biggest defense i could muster and i picked up some items to help against other match ups i have P duskdeep and eth rep viso greathelm and some scs to swap out some with ar some with defense and what is every ones advice for what to put into my sigons shield, I went with a P skull because I thought that damage to attackers could help squeeze out a little more dps vs jabzon/zealdin/kicksin. here is a screen of my stats with my viso helm on and my regular items that i would start a duel with. any advice is welcome.

for your ideal helm is a 3 concentrate/3 iron skin/3 shout barb hat. this is hard to get, so start with +3 concentrate one with 3 sockets. socket this with 3x 20 max jewels or 3x 15 max/20 defense jewels to start
you will want to use some 6 max damage/xx ar (48 is max)/6 str or 6 dex gcs. barb uses these over 6/xx/20 life because 6 stats = 24 life on barb
use a 15 max/20 def jewel in sigons
not sure what your weapon is but the the robo weapon goal is a 6x 20% edmg/15 max gemmed war axe or military pick (unless you find a nice rare)
the armor i assume is high def, but you have 90 str. use a 20% edmg/6 dex/-15% req jewel to start in it. this brings you down to 75 str
use 1x angelic ring + amulet combo with a rare ring that has 100+ ar/str/dex/30+ mana/life or damage

These tips will take him a long way in terms pf upgrades

only addition id make is personally i do not like the block rate of sigons shield. and prefer sigons belt/gloves/boots to CKS. the defense loss socks, but boots will add 50ar. with 6max/48ar/6 str/dex gcs u can make up the dex loss from cks and still be pumping a bit of vita. then u can use a boneshield, gain DTM most likely, maybe even FHR, get an extra socket for dmg/def jewels, and move way up in block rate.

vs phase attack builds like zeal and kicks its helpful, but really shines in conc v conc. if u can get a 20ias/XX ed magic war axe and stash it to use in conc v conc, versus a robo WA / sigons conc, you'll get a big advantage. 1-2 frames faster block and 1 frame faster attack. its huge.

what am i looking for in a bone shield, chance to block and faster block rate ? i assume also eth rep and a socket or 2?

i think i got a lead a good conc helm like you described 3 sockets +3 conc and right now my weapon is a war axe 6 sock with max/ar jewels

eth rep would be a big ask, not many of those drop per ladder, let alone 2 os with good mods.

luckily boneshield base defense can be quite high.

something like:

17 fhr
30-20 deflect mod
damage goes to mana
enhanced defense
2 open sockets

with angelics DTM is no as big of a deal, but can still help.

50%ed+, 30-20, 2 os would be a good start.

this is an example of a magic one (2 sock from larzuk) and a rare one that has 2x 20 max dmg jewels. yes eth/rep with high %edef is ideal for rares, but those are hard to find.






good, and you want to use %edmg/max damage jewels in your weapon. this will boost the weapons damage much higher
if you must use ar/max jewels use them in helm or shield.

for the vulpine boneshield, what level should i be and what difficulty to shop them on ? right now i only have a level 18 character on ladder so im not able to shop some stuff. I wanted to make a sac necro but i cant shop the level 11 sac charg scepter because i dont have higher level to shop with

act 2 norm, get a map with entrance by drog. they spawn there for a lvl 18 char

or just buy one on ladder for 20 fg. DONATED OMG THESNIPA IS SO COOL MAYBE THE COOLEST
