You want your char to be hell rushed and all quests done no matter which level bracket you will choose. For vanilla classes you can do classic rush which will save you time, for lod classes you will need gator aka bumper to finish baal quests and move to nm and hell difficulty.

Using healing/mana and any other pots is not allowed in LLD, life replenish is capped and value depend on which realm you play, additionally some builds might be capped more strict (for example lvl18 bowazon).
