The Kick Assassin Guide
The Low Level Dueling Dragon Talon Assassin can be either obsolete or very versatile. This is not just a guide on how to place stat points and skills, but to give you ideas on gear. The point of this guide is not so every one can make a carbon copy. I will give a selection of each body piece; from best to secondary.
We will start with the basics, stat points.
After achieving maximum block on your miniature dueler, you will place every last point into Strength. Very few things add to kick damage, so for each we have to take complete advantage of. Once completed, your dueler should have upwards of 200 in strength.
While you are leveling you will be placing your skills in certain places. Your precise skill placement will vary depending on what gear you attain. For example, if you get a hold of a very nice wof/mb hand scythe, then you will not need to place skills in either wake of fire nor mind blast. Gear will be discussed more further into the guide.
Boots:Boots are Dragon Talon's main source of damage. In order to have maximum performance we will need to be using War Boots
Necessary stats on your War Boots would be Damage/Fhr/Res. Obviously your boots can do without these until you find ones that due.
Other Options: The only other options that would work for a Kick Assassin would be upgraded Goblin Toes. For the most part, your kicker should use Rare War Boots, but against high life characters Goblin Toes would be a better option.
Weapon: I personally use +1 assassin / 30 ias / 2 socket blade talons with a shael and a 6/9 jewel in it. This should not limit your weapons to only this. Other weapons that would work on a kick assassin would be strength, plain ias claw, Amp/shaeled. With IK combo, you will need to decide what weapon you will use on your kicker to meet the IAS breaking point for dragon talon.
Dragon Talon Inital Kick
With Blade Talons, slvl0 bos
Code
IAS% 13 32 68
FPA 9 8 7
*Note: These are just guidelines, the kick assassin has a vast variety of gear it can chose from, you chose your destiny!
Shield: ATSoD with your choice of sockets, whistans with your choice of sockets.
Jewelry: Angelic ammy/rings are the best/easiest combo by far. But for all of you overachievers a nice +2 ma life/str/dex/res ammy with 2 ar/str/mana rings would put a smile on your assassins face.
Belt/Gloves: I personally say that Ik > all, but you guys can tweak around with your build. Other options I have tried would be MA gloves + soe. IK gives massive str/dex/res/def and most of all.. ias.
Helmet: A beginner helmet should be a Peasant Crown socketed with your choice (either a P ruby or an Ed/str jewel). Further down the road you can use a nice 2 Ma/ life / mana / other goodies circlet with, again, either a P ruby or a ed/str jewel.
Armor: The best option, imo, would be a 3 os life armor with either prubies or for the people more willing to pay a bit more, some ed/str jewels. This doesn't rule out Rockfleece, Rattlecage, Spirit Shroud(Secondary for casters with cold dmg), Vipermagi, etc.
Charms: 15 life scs with +ar would be the only option for this build as it's near only source of life.
This kicker should use c/c setup on switch with a mb/wof claw to stun casters so you can gain the advantage.
Your kicker's final stats should be similar to mine, which is represented in my signature.
