East is the most active I guess, NL or Lad.

NL is harder to get into - higher end gear and skill. Lad is a good place to start, reset should be this month. Consider trying east ladder after the reset.

This is most accurate. Biggest thing is not quitting after getting beat a few times. There is a bit of a learning curve to lld but alot of fun if you don't take it too serious.
