i thinking this on jabber as fact it has low ar at her self so i have headache or suffer 12ar from lc and put 7mana lc then take off 10mana ring and put same stats 1dr ring so its 1dr vs 12ar/3mana
basicaly my jabber has 0 dr now so it will make difference 1dr ? ^^

I would keep the ar on her for sure. Jabbers Dodge alot + block so they are already extremely hard to hit and some of the longest duels (aside from smiters). I would choose ar over 1dr.

if you take your average dmg hit and calculate the number u can take before death, just subtract 1 dmg from all the hits and see if it gives you an extra hit to survive on average. 1 dr isn't a lot but it might add up

having a second look at arreat summit, 1 DR spawns on rings, ammys, body armor, and shields for VLLD.

if you could stack 1 dr from each source 5 total dr would be a much more impactful thing.

or, alternatively, On a mauler you could use Angelics armor (3 DR) with angelics weapon and ammy (75 ar / 30 ias decent set bonuses for wep) (1 all skills / 75 life / 20 DTM on ammy) (10 dex / 50 mana set bonuses)

then maybe just base the build around hsaurus duo / bloodfists, boneshield for masssssssssssssssss life. would never go oom, avoids aneglics combo BM, hits nice ias bp, has 6 DR (2 rings, boneshield, 3 angelics), angelics armor gets to 218 def

would likely suck out 1 sac scepter every time, likely 2 on many duels. i may build one now, seems too annoying to not try. if i can find the DR equipment.


Rough Estimate = 1109 life with a reqs jewel in angelics making it the highest str req item

Isenharts is another option for some DR on a flashy build, won't work with a druid since pelt is needed, barb i wouldn't really like it either. perhaps a min dmg sac pally, idk. isenharts kicker? lol idk.

If that's all that we're considering then yes, in almost all matchups.

think of say a Sac char, big hits, lower FPA, lower Attacks per minute, lower number hitting. so 1 dmg off of a 35 dmg hit does almost nothing, whereas going oom, or 1-2% on the CTH calc, can make a bigger difference.

but think of say a kicker or jabber or TS sin, on many low hits they'll be hitting like for 10-15 dmg, but more timers per minute, small hits. reducing 10 to 9 there can extend out your duel, and with DTM you wont likely go oom anyways.

overall though i'd ditch the plan if its simply 1 dr, the effect is very low. if you have 2x rings and an ammy, that's a big difference, especially vs jabbers and other small hitters.

okay thanks mate so i will keep that ring till ill find one more and amu or shield also and atm will use mana one

indeed, if u get 2x rings, ammy, and shield it will be a really cool build. especially with dodge, 75% block, etc. thats a lot of damage mitigation.

problem is dr is a suffix so it’ll replace 5 rep or one stat affix on amulet and ring.
