I have my lvl 30 BVB almost 50% geared up. I would be willing to start running some test duels with someone.

Basic starter build options I would recommend:

Helm:
Peasant's Crown
1-3 Socket Barb Specific helm with beneficial skill adds, +1-2 masteries, +1-2 combat, +1-3 ww, Iron Skin etc.

Weapon:
Ripsaw Flamberge (In conjunction with Swordback Hold shield)
Cleglaw's Tooth (In conjunction with Cleglaw's gloves)
Honor Naga
Rare or magic Battle Hammers, Nagas, Zweihanders, Gladius' etc.
Bloodletter gladius

Shield:
Sigon's shield
Swordback Hold
Rare or magic Tower Shield / Pavise with 30/20 mod.

Boots:
Up'd Gtoes
Sander's
Rare boots with high defense.

Belt:
String of ears
IK Belt
Rare belt with Enhanced defense, life, and strength.

Gloves:
IK Gloves
Cleglaw's Pincers
BloodFist
Rare War Gauntlets with str/dex, 5% Ar bonus mod, and high defense

Armor:
Rattlecage
Twitchthroe
4 Socket High defense armor with 4 P rubies
High Def rare armor with life, strength/dex, sockets

Jewelry:
The only jewelry setup I would recommend in lvl 30 high defense barb vs barb is the 3 piece Angelic set, ammy + 2 rings.

Inventory:
3/20/15's are possible
20 def sc's with up to 15 life are possible
10/76/25 gc's are possible
100 Ar + mod Large Charms
Lot of possibilities here, research it out...

Bo swap:
+5 Bo helm
2x spirit swords
+2 warcry ammy
2x sojs
