Hey guys! New to the LLD scene, trying to make my first vLLD character!

My question for the forums is the following :

Where would be the best place to MF to find charms that have low level requirements (9 or under)? Where do you guys typically MF for charms/jewels?

iirc Andy in norm has all the large charms you could want for VLLD on her drop table. mainly life/def, life/ar, etc

however i find this way to be rather boring. so my prefered method is a frenzy barb carrying 2x lawbringer runeword, rest of the gear focused on FRW and MF. i run tombs in mule parking games with 6+ players for better item drops. lawbringer aura kills all undeads, most of the monsters, while the non-undeads die in 1 swing of frenzy and that majorly boosts your frw (the faster you run the more effective aura pulses are). use find item with 2x ali baba or something on swap for boss packs. clears tombs in 1-2 mins or so depending on the size and ratio of undead/nonundeads. or if you're really feeling lazy watch tv while right clicking find item on all corpses. get insight merc (sanc aura costs mana as does find item), let merc kill non-undeads, and wear a headphone to listen for jewel and charm sounds. takes longer but takes no brain power.

Thanks for the detailed reply! My tomb start has been similar lately, using an enigma barb (2 wizspikes and and extra 10%FCR for 110 bp) with an ist x6 sword on swap with a bunch of other MF gear, currently using Act 1 fire Merc with BOTD bow to kill everything haha!

Side note, should I be un-equipping my mf gear for ETH item runs?

your setup sounds a bit slow but not terrible at all. you might consider using an act 3 merc with dream, dream, hoj, dragon. the dmg auras would insta kill everything.

andarial is ALWAYS worth killing. she has the best loot table for vlld items. i only do tombs (which has some items that are too high that drop) because killing andy only is boring and i did that for years! but she drops the best stuff. summoner is also worth a kill, plus wrong ways have super chests. lower kurast is a bit higher ilvl, but the super chests there drop charms,jewels consistently.

if you're looking for eth base items for imbuing do normal cows with zero MF. use the dream-dream merc and remove the Hoj, u can kill all cows without fear of killing the king (immune to lightning)

also just a basic frozen orb sorc works well
