nah, not really. the general standard for a vlld shield is a vulpine bone shield of deflection (easily shoppable) with 2 sockets. tower shield is useable if you're going with a sigon combo (glove + boots and/or belt) but you gotta have 2 sockets on the shield to make it work

Shields cannot have +Light Radius so they are automatically bad for vlld. Nobody uses them.
