I was rummaging through some old screenshots I took of my hayday playing D2 and figured it would be a blast to share:

I want to dedicate this album to Laffz. He inspired me back in the day to build a Level 30 bowa. And from there we built up two 'guest zons' ( mini-laffz and mini-tric ) and began to spread the joy of zvz.

We organized team zvz duels that were insanely epic. We would form teams at the front of the town and the cold plains WP and engage in some ruthless zvz. We played 'Capture the Flag" in Kurast by using ID and TP scrolls in our belts. Each team took a 'temple' and dropped their flag inside and defended their territory. Once you grab the flag, you have to announce you had the flag and then try to escape the enemy 'temple' and flee to the other side of the battlefield ( Bazaar and Upper Kurast; sewers were allowed too )

In one of the screenshots in this album we did river duels where the teams had to duel across a river. We tried Bridge Duels as well.

Shit was good. I share this album of zvz duels to celebrate some of the greatest pvp experience I have ever known. Take a look at some of the names to see some familiar faces. All s/s were 2007-2008.

Jehova was a thorn in my side. He had a tougher zon than I did, and I had to learn to duel him when he would do nothing but run at me and name-lock. I couldn't kill him toe to toe efficiently. He was one of the main reasons I sought out a ctc Hydra ammy. Back in 2008 I can't think of any zons who used lightning fury. So it was jab vs jab.
