This is what it takes to hit 1500 bow damage with rare boots basically.

2x 9 str 5 dex xx mana 30% cold res rings
1 zon 9 dex 5x life xx mana xx rep life 15 all res amulet
deaths belt/gloves
30 frw 5 dex 40 cr 40 lr 40 fr sharkskin boots

alpos w/ 3x 18 max 9 dex 10@ res jewels
1 zon 30 frw 30% enhanced damage 2 sox circlet w/ 2x 8-18 9 dex jewels

ashwood with 2x shael 1x 20 ed 18 max -15 jewel 2x 20 ed 18 max 9 dex jewels

165% cold res
max all other res

18 str gear
2 str charms
87 dex gear

20 str base
25 dex base

160 stats to distribute
-8 stats to str (48 is ashwood with 1x -15, allows str bugging sharkskin boots still)
152 stats to dex

25+152+87=264 dex

264 dex
16 min
210 max from gear
28-104 bow
85% skill ed, 30% gear ed

210-1504 damage
change armor to plain 24's and you get
198-1500 damage

Is there any form of rare bow that can make any of that easier?

yeah all of it's really easy gear to find ofc!

that would be pretty much the sexiest zon around though

should still be able to hit 800ish life 300-400 mana 25 rep life 1.8k light fury and super res

i mean if we go for insane items ofc

there is a 20ed 10-18 damage jewel on EU. how does that compare vs the jewels you mentioned? this is an idle curiosity.

At the moment I see that :
(a) my rings are useless, having only 9 str, no dex and no min/max
(b) my circlet is useless, not having 30ed
(c) my amulet does not have dex
(d) 18dex 9 dex is (barely!) better then a 24 maxer
(e) questions remain re: viability of rare bow

Use robo gothic bow and get 2k dmg. Win

18/9's have dimihsing returns once you already have a shit ton of ed/dex

drop your dex down closer to 200 and 18/9's will see larger gains

20-10-18 is 5 affixes though isn't it? do you mean 20 8-18?

rare ashwood bow vs robo vs other type of rare bow. discuss :: minimum requirements >>9fpa ::
I can see 30ed 9 dex possible gains from circlet, but can i realistically see that and more from a rare bow compared to a robo.

There are no great jewels readily available on EU which is why Im thinking im better off trying to get a rare bow which will limit my requirements to x1 jewel, and potentially do alot more damage then a robo.

damage calc is down atm

ashwood with + skills (5% ed a skill lvl plus lower mana) generally wins

28-104 with 18 dex and 15% extra overall ed? yes please!

ashwood is 22.5 avg
double is 18.5 avg
rune is 24.5 avg

runebow could get higher damage
ashwood is second highest damage, but can get an additional 10% skill ed (or 20% if use an affix and get a 4 bc bow lol)
double bow will do less damage but have an extra socket

I'd take ashwood with 2 bow skills over any of those with similiar affixes
