rules looking good as far as i can tell
will join the next tour.. can say more after that.
still:
consider lowering repl on sorcs to 10 or 6
consider either giving barb tele vs sorc, or limit block/es on sorc vs barb (and fury)

btw "no jumping or precasting (going back to stash)."
does mean you can precast from CUBE in invent, right?
and what is "no jumping" ?

i wouldn't go under 10 life repl on sorc imo.
let's try tele for barb vs sorcs this tour and see how it works out. limiting block on sorc doesn't work @lld like @mld (you could use eyeless but meh..rather give barbs tele, dunno about fury - cannot balance all).
jumping = attacking without saying go
precast from invent is allowed.

what difference does 6 or 10 make to 12 ?
i dont plan to switch out my blood craft boots for example. i agree with ClanBK on that point.

and giving tele on barb should be overpowered.
no offense but there is alot crying about defwhoring, but then you seriously think about such.
that way you would cause much more defwhoring.
whats the point of staying onscreen for a sorc when the barb has tele too ?
i dont get it

i dont get it


every sorc player wants more life repl allowed for his sorc, that's just normal. i try to stay objective to give most chars a fair fighting chance vs other chars. rare boots are a good choice on sorc, too. i know it's hard to fit to the 12 life repl for sorc/pala rule, i have to adapt 2 chars myself.
as to the tele barb part: the sorc has to stay on screen to see and react when the barb is changing his weapons and teleports. without tele every sorc should win vs any barb, just takes very long. this could make things interesting. if it fails miserably, we can always change it back.

dont get me wrong, i wont argue too much about rules.
all is just about fun to me, and thats the reason i mostly dont join such tournaments. most things are seen way too serious.

but limiting the repl that much, is just limiting to use good items.
i didnt argue 12liferep though, but just limiting it to way less.

if you take it this way, i could also start debating whats defwhoring from a plaque zon vs my firewall sorc.
once i get hit, i hardly see such a char on my screen again.
or a camping trapper...
but this wouldnt lead anywhere, thats why i am not complaining

€: current rules for 4th tour:

General rules:

1. no hacks, intentional bug abuse, dupes, rage, flame, spam or nk.
2. no usage of pots, slowing items, knockback items, tab wands or tele staffs.
3. no jumping or precasting (going back to stash).
4. no defwhoring (repl life and/or regen mana abuse).
5. no more than 75 max res.
6. no more than 22 life repl on non-ranged, 15 life repl on ranged, 12 life repl on pala and sorc.

Char specific rules:

Necro:

7. max 5 walls per screen.
8. clay golem, decrepify, iron maiden and bone prison are banned.
9. recasting bone armor is not allowed.

Paladin:

10. no hard points in any def auras (get vigor or medi from item if needed).
11. libby, hammer, v/t and charger may not use any dr vs melee or ww.

Ama:

12. slower missiles is banned (no peace vs phys dmg chars).
13. max 150 frw on java and 120 frw on bowa.

Sorc:

14. es sorcs may not use insight, non es sorcs may use insight.

Druid:

15. tele staffs are allowed.
16. recasting cycloon armor is banned.

Barb:

17. tele staffs are allowed vs sorcs.
18. nl ww is banned.


remains one problem in my eyes: Barb vs FW.

I know you've duelled those yourselves with Driven and I personally have more problems vs a good fw sorc than a good fb sorc with barb. I cannot dodge those nl fw's where I can keep dodging for hours vs fb. Not sure what the answer is (have I ever won a round vs you with my barb Matro), just putting it out there.
