next time dont make a suggestion, as I might again take you up on it lol! your post is wrong, i did think about it! everyone still has a couple of days to complete duels. we started this tour a good few weeks ago, can't see how anyone can complain, alot of time was given! I really dont want to reward players for not actively seeking to complete all their duels.

personally i like it as thing stand, im vs tornazzo (who beat me in group stage) and if harabec stays number one and wins his first duel, i will be vs him then. would like to do better in one or both of those ft5's as my ping was so bad for both duels (a bit better now).

with so many varied builds, the KO stage is a case of Rock Paper Scissors sometimes... HF GL all and complete your outstanding duels!

i would make playoffs last 8 since there are ~20pts separating rank 9 from 8 (not to mention the "100pt benchmark")
there will just be lots of 5-0s in the first round which isn't needed imo

i agree on this + in next tour you should mention how many ppl proceed to playoffs in advance

harabec, its last 16, im sorry thats final, sorry. You wanted 1 big group stage; I acceded to your request. Making it a last 16 gives twice the amount of players a chance to experience a KO phase. Its one extra duel, it’s a community event, while I acknowledge your argument I don’t want to make these tournaments an elitist event - I want as many different builds/players to be able to qualify for the KO phase. Yes, I am aware that the lower ranked players will potentially all lose horribly but I still think they should be given the experience so that they know what they need to improve for next time.

phazz, i specifically did not mention whether it would be last 8 or last 16 this time as there were a lot of (new) users in this group stage and I really did not want to be nulling or tko'ing duels which might potentially skew the overall scorecard. If people knew they could no longer qualify, they would not seek out their remaining duels, and would potentially not enter in future. We should be trying to include rather then marginalise a lot of players. Once the group stage starts I will confirm if last 8 or last 16. If we have the same number of entrants as the last tournament though, it will be last 16.

The next tournament will have several groups, with players seeded from their results in the group stage of this tournament (I will factor in some of the KO phase results; I need to figure out how best to do that still). New Players / Builds will not be seeded. There will be much less duels needed to be completed as you will be duelling at most ½ the number of players in the group stage (possibly even less).

that's the reason i wanted 1 big group - everyone was able to duel (and get to know) all the different builds & players/the community.
but playoffs ARE an "elitist" thing.. if 2/3s of the player-pool end up in the playoffs they don't really deserve to be called that!
i'll accept your decision, but i thought i'd mention this
