Hdin is not better lol. More mana? Who cares, a very good din reps as much mana as he uses because you don't use all that much when you have planned long charges for specific movements and aren't just spamming around thinking omg I'm synching so hard rn!

tbh i tend to lean towards Nerlen's assessment. Libby is undoubtedly more fun to play, and as it's more dynamic it's more difficult to play against in term of reading your opponent, but it's only better in matchups where charge>hdin. Which really comes down to bowa, other chargers and trapper for me. I think the 1-2 breakpoints of hammer and the much smaller mana pool just make it worse than Hdin in a lot of matchups, barb being the most obvious example.

that said depending on rules around medi, l8z, etc it's a bit different. AND i think that a skilled Libby might be the most difficult character to read and play against, whereas you know generally what a charger wants to do and exactly what a hammerdin wants to do. and we have to of course discuss dualspirit with a 1h charge swap vs 75 fcr honor & insight swap. i know the dual spirits is really only a popular ladder build and maybe not even there anymore.

edit: i forgot i guess that kaz has 125. that's undoubtedly the best libby design and i could agree that beats straight hammerdin

I mean it's based on preferences

With Kaz 125fcr setup, how much mana do you have?

Having at least 1k mana is crucial for hdins. It's basically like teleing, charging is form of transportation.

Also synching is the most important part of hdin lol and you need decent amount of mana for that.

Like 850 mana,

And synching is super important, but you spend like 6 charges just to telegraph to your very skilled opponent that you're synching, they step off your map to resynch you and you're back to square one with less mana.

However if you enter their minimap, charge 2 or 3 times, make sure they're long correct charges, you're synched hard as fuck immediately and can attack from anywhere you want after that. You don't have to be constantly synching. Plan one good synch, Excecute an attack, leave if they block it well, come back invisible again later with full mana.

People forget that libbys and dins are so powerful that everyone assumes they are the aggressor 100% of the time or they're bm. You add a tiny bit of defensive resources and suddenly hdin or libby becomes a brick wall

tbh i actually really like running around at 75 fcr with insight out. the potential burst damage for just an immediate charge while still maintaining hammers that do over 1k is pretty hilarious. works great against necs lmao

I have really comfortable matches vs hdins I just use double spirit and insight, seems easy for me if I catch them with a charge.

But almost all matchups in use honor because 10 rep plus You can alternate using med/charge and conc/hammer, instead of vigor/charge, when you're dueling someone you just want to use short charges to overwhelm with hammer triangle, med on the honor stick offers a huge tool

Indeed I prefer honor on libby as well. My shocker gets medi from honor, conv from foh stick, and vigor from tears if u want em. Nice for tvt
