I think most people will prefer a magic bo or 3 sock 3 ww helm because you can not bug the frw on circs.

the cold damage is a + not a -

doesn't cold damage affect mdr bug? and it has lightning damage as well.

cold dmg helps vs 99% of characters you would use harpoons against anyway. and against chars that use soe+vmagi, you are using ga 99% of the time anyway

against what chars?

using lf mostly vs other zons, paladins, fury dudus, and other non caster type characters (when you need to have block) and against bone necs, sorcs and most casters you will just use ga because its stronger and you dont need to keep block up. of course there are exceptions but most of the time this is the case.
