5-0 gives the same points as 5-4 ? and giving free points to friends is possible without penatly?
thought the outcome of the last discussion was more something like 5-0 = 9 5-1 = 8 etc. so there would always be 9 points distributed between both players

5-0 = 3 vs 0 points, 5-4 = 3 vs 2 points. The 9 points was suggested, I compromised by removing the 5-0 4 points win. I compromised further by punnishing the lower scoring individuals (1vs16 etc). I dont want to fundamentally change the face of the tournaments. Use PM function or a seperate topic if you have rule discussions as I'm trying to keep this topic clean.

I have not seen anyone giving friends free points but removing the 4 point win is another way to reduce or prevent this. Please don't respond to this here.

/edit might review the scoring system, will update tonight if I think its fair, awaiting on feedback from DerPate.

There have been several discussions over the last few weeks in relation to the setup of the KO phase. for various reasons I have changed it slightly from what it was before. 1vs16 2vs15 is too harsh in my view on the poorer players, and the tournaments are supposed to be a fun place, so I have, with the input of DerPate, come up with the following KO phase setup:

1 vs 9
16 vs 8
4 vs 12 <- previously 3 11
13 vs 5 <- previously 14 6

2 vs 10
15 vs 7
3 vs 11 <- previously 4 12
14 vs 6 <-previously 13 5

The Top players will still not face eachother until the semi finals, but this current setup was deemed slightly more fair for the higher ranked players ( as opposed to my previous setup ) while giving the lower ranked players a chance to win their first KO phase duel (as opposed to 1 vs 16 etc).
