I had originally planned on splitting the group stage but there was some noise around this idea as it was such short notice. so, to give people alot of advance notice, I wil probably use this tournament to seed players for the 18th tournament (and split the group stage up sothat less duels need to be completed next time around), so it may be an idea to try to do as well as you can here. players will only be seeded if they use the same build as this tournament, otherwise they will go into a pot of unseeded players and will be assigned to a group in alphabetical order (i will of course change this for tour 19). note that I will always seed previous tournament winners in the "top pot" should they wish to reprise the char build they previously won a tournament with.
it will also mean that I wont let late entrants join the next tournament as it might mess up "the plan".
this has no bearing on this tournament, im merely letting people know in advance as to what my intentions will be.
