you didn't understand my question i think: even someone with honor who is new to lld i.eg. may ask: how long can i stay offscreen to rep/regen? what would you answer? "honorsystem" doesn't tell him much.
imo we should find an approx. time for the player to stay offscreen.
same we did for how many bonewalls are gm? we came up with 5 at a time.
from the europvp rules:
Player(s) must be active in duels. Intentional hiding or running away to replenish life is forbidden.
Corner/house camping is also forbidden.
however the praxis was that esp ES sorcs often attack, teleport away to regen mana and repeat.
it is understandable as es sorcs rely on their mana so theres no point in stating energy if you have to attack with empty manapool
the only way to prevent/reduce this: reduce replenish life of characters that are likely to use this strategy. (opponent has higher repl so this strategy automatically gets punished)
replenish life is very effective in lld because of the total life being very low. so you replenish a high % of life / time.. the lower your total life, the higher the % heal you get by replenish life
ES sorcs have the lowest life, so they profit the most from repl - and they are the characters who are most likely to use that aforementioned strategy.
->conclusion:
limit repl on ES sorc to the lowest amount possible (beay suggested 6 as peasant can spawn with that amount so this seems reasonable)
gradually upgrade repl limits based on how likely it is for a char to run away to heal (15ranged, 22melee seems ok.. perhaps 10 on nones sorc)
limiting "hiding to heal" to an absolute figure such as xx seconds is not practical
