I always wanted to explore the viability of rare (non CTC) bows @ 30. I picked up this Runebow recently and put a duped 24 maxer in it just to see if it had spawned 2 sox (x1 shael needed - the 24 maxer was purely to test the screen damage for the paragraph impaired) if it could compete with my Robo (Note: Jewels in Robo are legit, 30 duels @ eu are a challenge re: no duped jewels allowed, yes there are 2 of the same colour, no they are not the same jewel, they were bought off Avalon a while ago..lets move on...). We are not looking at the Robo here, we are looking at the Runebow.

What I was looking at here is the viability of the rare Runebow as a base item type for lvl 30 Bowa's. Ok so the immediate negative : 73 Str requirements vs 48 str requirements. That an immediate loss of 25 potential Dex. If we even ignore that for a moment, damage is : Runebow 106-1057 vs Robo 99-1026. so thats a "gain" of 7 min and 31 max to screen damage. So in order for a Runebow to "beat" any half decent Robo (I admit my Robo is not the best) it would need : (a) 2 sox (since x1 must be a shael) and (b) -30% requirements, on TOP of everything thats currently on the rare listed above. This simply reinforces that the reason why there are so few genuine "FUUU" LvL 30 rare bows is because they need so many good mods to even come close to a Robo. i.e. rare bows would need to spawn almost perfect to beat robo's and since that does not happen often, Robo's appear to be the only way to go for us mortals.
Runebow 20 ias 2 sox 165 ed 9 dex 20 max -30requirements would be "perfect". The dex would be the cream on top of everything, but realistically its only a pipe dream since the odds of getting -30% requirements on such a bow are so low as to make the exercise pointless. Other bows worth considering would be Short Seige Bow (65 str required, ok could surivve without the -30% req's), Cedar Bow ( 53 str required ), and ashwood bow ( 56 str required ), with Double bow (58 Str required) being the only -10 speed bow that could allow us to use x2 rare jewels (at the expense of the lowest base damage).
