you are easily trolled my friend, but i dont get why the 16th has to face the 1st, this is not very fair Imo (and i'm serious here)

it forces everyone to try to score as highly as possible to avoid being paired with the top seeded players. it rewards the top seeded players for their efforts during the ko phase. if you look at some of the early tournaments you will notice that the ko phase was done differently and I gave lower seeded players a better chance at progressing. However, it was successly argued in certain quarters that I was not rewarding the top seeded players properly, hence the more recent tournament ko phases adopting this setup.

edit: yes thats exactly how it used to be. i liked that setup as well. times change.
edit: untrue, i dont win every group stage and in some tournaments i dont think i even got out of the group stage.

i would have done 1v9 and 8v16 etc. but well it's ok

e: the first one is always you, so you only rewards YOUR OWN efforts thats what i wanted to say
