both of these comments are for the watered down version. I dont mind shelving the tournament rules for now. a basic set of rules is probably a better goal right now.

In terms of tiered tournaments i would still go with my tournament rules (once I manage to get to a version 1.0) but I would have mini tournaments along side it (such as sorc v sorc, ama v ama, and 2v2 which i hosted in the past).
alot of ppl are asking for melee vs melee but im inclined to let someone else carry that torch, alongside your tiered tournaments.


Why not remove fire mastery? You stated it does slightly less than it's OG counterpart when you do so... and that's a good thing.

Looks good should use this for tourney also. Making sorcs go to 60 str for frostburn then? Or is the rule ethereal weapons that are swung only

I really dont mind Eth or non Eth frostburns. the rule was originally weapons, but I remember we had a player on eu that decided to be funny and spent alot of fg on getting all armor slots eth for that defence gain on his amazon. he used different x40 charms vs different opponents. he stretched the envelope and made me dispair.

I would prefer if eth frostburns allowed (and would let them in my tournament) but for a basic set of rules ppl can agree on I had to make compromises.

imo eth non-repair armor should be banned as well. the difference is very very minimal (10attr points), but i just feel like its simply lame ><
fuck eth frostburn sorcs :P

kidding aside, i have no strong opinions on the matter. i just dont want people abusing throwaway eth bonesnaps/honors.

My pvm sorc is at the point where I can do sidequests if anyone needs. Can get jades on my gf barb, all other quests on sorc. She sucks basically 1200 life no block no dr. But I'll get those quests done or I'll eat my hat!

I am trying to align the pub version with the "other" rules. I think we are almost there. in discussions re: same. prayer is now agreed (as in no hard point prayer allowed) as is max 1 point warmth agreed.
Assassins are the strongest class currently (safe to say OP), so eventually (once more ppl geared) will have to look at that.
Does anyone have a max damage trapper yet ? (by this i mean x2 5trap claws, one of which has dragon flight and mindblast, and x2 sojs /viper/2trap/20/30 circ and 2/10 amulet etc.)

can you explain the reasoning behind no mana pots?

most caster abilities cost 15+ mana PER cast

by comparison melee abilities cost significantly less

double swing = 2 mana

concentrate = 2 mana

fury = 4

zeal = 2

which means those builds (who already have significantly higher defenses, life) can prioritize even more life..

a full blown caster with 800 mana and a 15 mana cost FB gets 53 shots. roughly. assuming even 1/2 land which is unlikely that means they have access to roughly 27 fireballs in 1 match

thats on the cheap side. some caster skills go into the 30s per use.
