The heirlooms aren’t bis for many of your slots due to the much higher item level gear you can get from quests.

I did a ton of lvl 29 twinks and it was a huge deal getting items that could take lvl 35 enchants. But still there is a lot of better options than heirlooms just require careful planning with quest rewards.

on 29s+ that's for sure true.

on 19's tho they're BiS for almost all slots and builds. they're the only shoulders above white, most builds use a worse armor, and the standby trinkets in vanilla are prob worse than haste/sp for most builds.

but even with 29s my main issue is that u don't have to do work to be nearly as good. u can just load up heirlooms and compete. some of the planned out 29 or 39 builds are really fun to read about tho, some intense planning and help needed for sure.

alliance are a bunch of bitchees tbh i have played alli more but horde are making lvl 6 shamans all twinked out with grand arena trinkewt absorbs 750-1250 dmg over 20 seconds thats a pretty sexy item

always wanted to do lvl 29s and 39s back during tbc and early wrath

wasnt wow-rich enough to really trick one out until later in the game and by then i only geared my 19

im gonna dl this vanilla thing and see if my craptop can run it


lol i forgot how long and arduous some of the vanilla lower instances were back then. wc, stockade, blackfathom deeps and razorfen seemed to take forever lol. even the “higher” level ones like blackrock depths and sunken temple took so damn long too lol. after heirlooms and queuing was implemented it was so easy to faceroll them

clearing trash is a bitch on vanilla..... but WC at least has really good BoE drops to make klling trash worth it.

yeah, the idea is you're being ran by someone, so your runner pulls everything up to a boss you need loot from, you run in and get combat with the boss or whatever it takes to get you killed while you're still eligible for loot, then the runner pops everything and rez's you, and then do that 500 more times because you got lucky and your 0.37% drop rate item only took 500 runs to get.



true, but the 35 enchants were only weapon and chest though, right? it wasnt until later they put higher requirements on leg armors, shoulder enchants, etc... i think
