TOURNAMENT HAS NOW STARTED. I WILL PM ALL ENTRANTS WHEN IM HOME TODAY TO CONFIRM (UNLESS SOMEONE WANTS TO DO THIS FOR ME!).
MY EMAIL WILL CONTAIN THIS:
1. Tournament starts today, Tuesday 07/06/2011. Any new player still wishing to enter can do so up until next Monday, the 13/06/2011. No entrants will be accepted after that date.
2. The group stage will most likely be a 3 week period. I will review the situation on a regular basis, and I will encourage all players to complete all their duels asap.
2. The rules are in my profile. I would note that while Harabec has a similar set of rules in his profile, they are not identical to mine, ( some discrepancies ) so until we agree on everything, please use mine for this tournament.
3. There will be one big group stage followed by a last 16 KO phase.
4. Use either the Event log (in Harabec's profile) or PM your opponents to see when they are on. Help me by PM'ing each opponents and arranging a time to complete your duels.
5. Inevitably, players will drop out of the tournament. I'll use previous tournaments as a reference to the decisions I make in this area. Please try to complete all your duels ASAP.
6. If someone is dodging you, don’t worry, but record the dodge in the thread sothat at the end of the group stage I can asses for TKO'ing your opponent. While I would like to see everyone duel everyone ASAP, its not always possible so be patiant with some of your opponents.
7.This is a Good Mannered Organised Tournament so I would ask everyone to please be politeto their opponents. As a rule, if you don't know your opponent, have extra patiance and stay cool. We all have our own views on dueling. Also, if there is someone in the tournament that you don't like or you think may (or does) cause problems, PM me and I will referee for you. I can be on most weeknights.
8. If at any time during the duel something happens. Pause the duel, try to come to a mutual agreement with your opponent. Failing that, record the current score, exit the game and pm me.
9. Let your results do the talking for you, keep chat to a minimum where at all possible.
10. At times, people not participating in the tournament, but seeking to disrupt the tournament, will post in the tournament thread. Please DO NOT RESPOND to these users. If required, I will respond to them. As previously noted, its my job to keep the topic clean. To combat the anti-social behaviour, I would ask everyone to ignore them and, where possible, to help me in curtailing flamewars. If required, I will ask a rational moderator to assist. Don't argue with these users, if you remain calm and quiet, I will protect you. Don't flame or counter-flame.
11. every single duel will count towards your total score, so fight for every point, don't roll over!
