the more dmg you get from equip / invent the more effective clegs will be.
with a good pala equip/invent clegs is still the best choice of weapon possible.

in hardcore; i agree.

but the numbers worked on show, even with a fullsetup of +20's and 6/xx/xx gc's the longevity of the WS build outlasted the clegs setup for SC,.

perhaps Nine 8-20 jewels.. but describing that setup as good is quite understated.

did you test 6/20 gcs + twitch 20 max + crown 60 max + clegs 20 max vs 15/12 scs + twitch 20 max + crown 60 max + 3/3 ws 100 max?
never used clegs, dunno if you need twitch to reach good zeal bp.

the twitch20%ias with 30ias gloves reaches 5/5/5/5/10 (4.16 attacks/sec)
at 30ias gloves with 4os armor you only hit 6/6/6/6/11 (3.57 attacks/sec)

(and the twitch has the great stats to save pnts for vit.)

never tested a +80 armor 30ias build, u gain the +80max
but it will loose .59attack/sec in speed (roughly 14%) of your avg Dmg per sec.


according to stars setup each +1max contributes 5.7listed dmg in WS build
vs
5.233 clegs (with 50%ds makes 7.84)

so +60more from a 4os armor (over a +20twitch) will contribute
avg 157*50%ds = 235 clegs

this is what it came down too

1000 life NON gc [50ias] ws setup doing avg 830avg pvp = 141pvp a hit
750 life GC clegs, 30ias +80armor doing (1024 + 235) -14% speed avg = 182pvp a hit

750 / 141 = 5.31 strikes till death
1000/182 = 5.49 strikes till death

the clegs sword is just a hair less effective; and since there would be no twitch, it would also be missing another 20stats (60life) and need more dex to reach 75% block (more vit lost)
not something i recommend, twitch is just so helpfull

80 max armor does just 60 more max dmg than twitch 20 max. did you take that into account?
what is your best built then? meaning high life and dmg, without sacrificing one for the other.
on my old pala (a long time ago) i used ws with twitch and 15 life / ar,res,mana,ele dmg scs.

best best? hmm id have to crunch the same numbers with 8-20 jewels. that could put the clegs up just a bit, but its just approaching impossible to find nine 8min-20max jewels.


i would do this (considering you can get ur hands on three astoundingly good rare jewels(bolded below) choice perfection jewels)

15% sup 3zeal/3conc ws, with four 20% +15's and two 20% +15 -15%req rares making a 21-111 38 strength ws
+20 +6dex twitch
+80 65% 120ar 4os rondache
+60 mask
Xxar/15life sc's
1x angelic ring
angelic ammy
5str/5dex 1XXar 10life ring with 5replenish would be great (epic perfect +7str blood ring with perfect 20life would be outstanding too! but switch in 3 pnts for dex)
hotspur (+15life)

7zeal (+3)
1might
2ba (+10% passive ar)
18 sacrifice
1conc (+3)

no points in dex; 20base +10angelic +10 twitch +6twitch +5ring = 51dex, with 75% blocking (Heraldic Shield +twitch) = 75% final block
no pnts used in strength; 25base + 5ring +10 twitch = 40 (enough for -30% scepter and heraldic)
all Vit

this will make about 1124life and the 141-147 pvp avg hitting zealot with about 2-3kar depending on xxar/15 sc's
does that seem right star? u would gain 20stats saved right? and the 15life from hotspur.. so thats maybe 1074 + 15 + 60 = 1149, even better. not sure how u got 1074 life though

i have one of those impossible jewels: 20 ed xx max 4x ar -15 req
would be impossible to find such a jewel again, though

im not sure if u realize this jerk but 18 max is the most possible dmg to get on a rare jewel and even then its lvl 27 req...

also im using a crown shield so actually 30 points would be saved cuz atm i have 55 solid points in str

everything else looks right. but a 20max/6dex is impossible.

the best possible jewel is a 8-18 max but since carnage cant be spawned on rare jewels to reach 18 max it must be lvl 27req. making a 20max jewel still supreme

i could get a 20ed/11max/51ar jewel, but even then it wouldnt do anything for me really...

ah indeeed,, carnage is a magic only mod , i was never aware of that.

a 14max + 6dex then is the rare u need to save the stats..but at that pnt just use hard dex pnts and use 20's

scarelet+ carbuncle of wraith + joyfullness = 8-14 beats a +20 by 1avg ;/ as if.....
