useless is not the right word. say rather, not needed.

what meitou meant was that the mods that are on your shield, while very nice, are not practicle for alot of duels. having resistance on a shield, used by a bowazon, is too dangerous as you will suffer from the risk of being caught out on bow slot without the resist bonuses. if you have enough resist on bow slot, then your better off using damage on shield slot, or something else that can be gained from jewels, as the resistance bonus is negated by the fact that you already have enough res.

A trophy char can have a trophy shield and it will get a 10/10 rating from alot of people as it will have several perfect mods. Your shield IS a trophy. However, the usefulness of an item has to be considered when PVP'ing and a 3 sox kite of deflection beats just about everything simply because it gives you more viable options, such as increased damage.
