apologies for too much off topic - Steffer / Harabec, I am aware you are both very competitive and yes 1 vs 16 2 vs 15 would give the highest ranked players a massive advantage to proceed quickly through the KO phase, but from experience its no fun to scrape into a last 16 and then to be vs the best players straight away. I originally changed it to this format (@49) to give lower ranked players a (small!) chance to compete in their 1st duel of the KO phase. I would ask you both to reserve judgement until after the tournament and then look back on the results. What you should see is that most of the favourites will still progess. By structuring the tournament in this way it opens the door for more builds to upset results, thereby making the tournament more dynamic and adding an element of uncertainty, thus reducing stagnation.
