another thing to consider is the playerbase, i personally didnt find mb that OP tbh, we were even allowing trappers to use mindblast when i first started playing lld on d2r, for the first 3 or 4 rounds of the team can vs team usa duels we did, and the team that didnt have sin still won a cpl rounds.
lots of the players playing havent played in a long time, or havent ever played. If you played way back in the day before wsg was common knowledge, then you probly remember that people adapted. walking down is honestly not a terrible substitute for wsg, i mean its no where near as good but it can still put in work.
overall tho you are correct, it shouldnt be banned, but the player base isnt ready for that, and why bother getting them ready for it when fhr is just a few weeks removed from being changed forever. I will say this though, if mb had been legal all this time we wouldn't have seen nearly as many esfb tops
