Very true, I have seen plenty of ~1k fg llds dominate. The difference between a 7.5/10 “crap char” and a 10/10 char will often come out to like 1-2 pvp hits in practice.. only hybrid builds really need to focus on great gear.

i agree, it's rather noobie to think that lld is gated behind elites and their gear

i also can't see an argument for mana pots as long as insight/mana regen/90 mana mods exist. maybe for the start of ladder but even around a month in charms and gear become readily available and cheap. imo, building/playing a char to sustain a duel without needing pots should be prioritized in the long run.

I'm going to play it a lot but pretty much all pvm for a long while. Got a couple irl buddies who are getting it and we are going to just play solo and jsp-less basically until our chars are maxed out and then I'll probably start mfing nm spots for lld stuff after that.

hey bela you got me curious about this.
where are the common/well known grinding spots specific for lld gear? the only thing I've seen is a gold farmer to gamble circ/ammys on a lvl 40-something character.

gamble on 45 that way every single circ you gamble has the chance for +2 skill tab

I'd just run places that are easy to get to quickly and have either a super unique or high mob density. Don't go higher than 250% mf if looking for rares explained by feanur here. Cows, a2 tombs, Travincal, Chaos Sanctuary, Fridgid Highlands WP (Eldritch and Shenk), and Pindle have always been nice. All very easy to get to/no searching and all have a little boss or high density. Andy and Meph are both nice too of course if you don't mind sometimes taking a while to find them. I personally prefer just non stop killing stuff and less time searching for the destination. Andy is especially nice for jewels and jewelry although I haven't looked into whether or not her mlvl in nm restricts any lld mods.

good to know, ty. im guessing a farmer with big aoe is preferable to a hdin/blizz, like frozen orb or some form of holy fire/shocker.

im not sure if its worth doing this though. the chance to find an amazing rare yourself is astronomically low, so im of the opinion to just grind regular high lvl places and use the wealth to buy lld stuff.
im not even sure if i'll have the time to grind enough for such things. droprates on d2 are very brutal.

yeah but at first, maybe even for the first year depending on how quickly bots emerge, you'll be able to actually find usable and sellable stuff. Things that get charsi'd or donated right now could be used for some time depending on the timing of bots.

Honestly this is generally the best strat

Even for new d2r it will likely be best to sell generally good things like high runes to buy Lld stuff

Will be interesting to see if there will be bots in d2r , I heard someone say that your account is tied to your blizzard account.

Well as long as yogi is able to set up his bots the market should be similar to d2
