Does Max Dmg = Min Dmg? If so wouldn't for example 20 Ed / 12 Min Jewel basically add 12 Min & 12 Max plus 20 Ed onto the 12 Max resulting in 12 Min / 14 Max?

min and max are added separately. the only place where the math gets tricky is when your +min dmg exceeds your max dmg.

like if naturally after gear and stuff (before sockets) your char did 1-50 dmg. then you add +50 min dmg. technically you'd be doing 51-50 dmg. but the game doesnt like that, so every point of +min dmg increases your max as well and you end up with XX-XX+1 dmg.

And having max = min +1 is a good thing for builds with very high ed % like tiger strike and charge on a low lvl char.
