I remember a time when LLD101 was like 99% zons, hdins, and fireballers. was also a time when no one would tvt because people only played 1v1 classes and shit talk was at an all time high. also none of the gear for godly setups existed lol.

i used to run a honor + blood letter barb, but that was well after dizzydeath!

Then I betrayed LLD by having Enzo dupe 24 maxers for the first time. Pinkies we called em. Pepperidge Farm remembers

excluding 20 maxers, 4-15's, 20-15s, and 24 maxers for so long made trading very interesting.

part of me wonders if allowing dupes in like 2010 would have been better, but we'd likely by flooded by fuckbois that would have ruined LLD.

the weird thing is a healthy # of players on any realm is like 15. no more. no less. with 15 you can consistently fill up 3s and 4s. with less u can't and with more you get assholes priding and busting it up, challenging to 1s when they get outplayed, etc.

if you get too many it ends up like ladder, a filthy mess of 1v1s with too many low skill people.

I kind of liked the situation you had a little later around 2013ish where people would basically ignore you using duped magic jewels if your budget demanded it, but the people who still followed the usual mindset could still get their hands on legits since they were dropping in price with the surge of mass botters on jsp

You could try to count queef and the people who are functional duplicates of him like gamingon and kyushu if you want to consider them llders

I always felt east could have done more to encourage ladder duelers to change to nl after the reset.

Sure they wont be as good and you may get the odd dickhead but worth trying no?

I started lld much later than most by trying to make an 18 bowa on eu ladder. Didnt finish it until nl and a big part of me sticking with lld was how friendly the lvl 18 duelers were on nl to a newb. Obviously i know now east are the same but first impressions can be a bit misleading for you guys haha.

Sackshadow started shit on the forums but was a GM dueler. Roy was less GM but still didn't BM out games that often, and in his era tvt wasn't as popular at lvl 30 so even if you bm'd it wouldn't nuke a game. Jim never dueled. like i've been friends with him for 10 years, i refresh and upgrade his accounts, and i've never in all that time had a single duel with him. not one. lol (except melee, which doesn't count)

when i think of BM games i remember Adam when most people disliked him just synch charge hammer fielding the moor. or Tofu hosting and taking ears. we don't really get that anymore, i guess its because we're not all 12 years old anymore.



we've had some lulls for sure, but we've remained fairly healthy overall. i think some people would be happy if we had a 1v1 game and a tvt game up regularly, but the 1v1 game would devolve into shit talking lol. i honestly think just having 2s, 3s, and 4s consistently is the best. when we struggle to fill out 2s games we will for sure need to recruit. at which time i'll just access more euros!
