You ideally want a 2 light/20fcr/3 es/3 chilling armor orb+visc on swap. Having high mana on the orb is a very minor buff but it does mean you regen like 4-5 extra mana while you're swapped to cast es, and might make you regen a few dozen extra mana per duel while WSGing (or a few hundred if you're firewall)
That gives you 65% es if you keep cube in inventory, which is ideal for light/blizz/firewall. Sometimes fireball sorc wants lower level es so you don't lose as much mana, for that you could keep a +2 or a +3 es orb in stash. I haven't seen anyone do that in years, since sorcs have much higher mana than they did then.
