we'll you should do deep squats, much better for your hammys. but i was just speaking to the squat-bench relationship by saying your squat should be higher than your bench.
in truth squats should be as varied of a lift as bench (incline, decline, max, min, dumbell, etc). Most serious lifters for athletics i've come across tended to do deep squats, regular squats, and box squats. I always used box squats as a warm up ot between long rest sets on non-leg day to get the lactic acid out from the previous leg day. Works well for that and with the box right there even if your legs fail it just looks like you're sitting down lol.
Only squat that matters is regular deep squat... That will add all the size to your legs that you need... I do wide base squats as well, gotta hit them glutea to get a bubble butt for the females, then I do hang cleans (just so I like a monster to the noob lifters).
In high school my bench was 315 | squat 355 | deadlift 465 ... Now it's like 360 bench | 315 squat | 405 deadlift... Lol
