yes thats errr, simon, my new friend, using michel's a/c. honest.

the problem with the rules is that they have potentially reached (or gone beyond) a level of tolerance, so as to make the dueling bracket too serious. thats why i want no one touching the 30 rules. 1v1 at 30/49 is meant to befun, relaxed and enjoyable. a few simple rules, no bible, and poor bahaviour is caught by a mutually accepted observer (but almost never required, except for repeat offenders, and im not looking at anyone here (you know who you are)).

exactly my point ferdia!!! with all the rubbish I wrote this was what I wanted to say.

also those players you mentioned, still killed libby's pretty fast. well, very fast actually..

From what I understand, we all played sorcs tho, and as sorc has tele I have no problem with dueling a libby in 1v1 that used medi to heal life.

VS other classes I thought it would be overpowered, as they dont have the ability to keep up with a charging paladin.

Anyway, I don't know enough about mld to get involved in this argument, but that's my 2 cents.

every other class the pala has to get close to the opponent to kill, if hes low on life and medi's off into the distance, this is easily spotted - and negated by either ingame chat or referee. i.e. dont do it.

medi skilled was not the problem with the rules (since its allowed), its all the other "balancing" stuff.

Well ok fair enough. But in hld " defensive play " is a real grey area and no-one ever gets pulled up for it, even though in every ruleset there is a " no overly defensive play " rule.

If you guys can actively enforce a rule that prevents medi abuse then fine :)

the community is so small that, yes, we can actively enforce a rule. ~ very few players who go out their way to make life miserable.

I would just like to say that I think Alex has done a great job with the rules recently and I think he is a very good dueler. He plays alot of chars/builds which always helps when introducing and testing new rules. I think ferdi did well creating a basis for the rules previously too.
As for this medi rule, I feel like I have the most experience with Libby's recently and I don't feel the need to ban it.
However I think it would be good to introduce the old rule 'the offensive player e.g Libby vs Bowie, the Libby once leaving the minimap has to re-enter after 10 seconds' this will nerf the amount of medi time.

One thing to note, I currently don't play or have a Libby so I'm not stating the above for my own satisfaction.
I will also test when I get chance a Libby using perfect skulls in circ and armor to see if the regen mana is good enough without the use of medi. Similar to lld. However the pala will have less life/mana but maybe this isn't a great problem.

Thoughts?

i agree with chum above, the same could really be said for sorc's as well, but lets not get carried away:)
