I am more of a sci-fi and fantasy nerd. I highly enjoy most of the Warhammer 40k novels. (Specifically the Horus heresy series). Also in the middle of the Witcher series too. If only video games didn't get in the way of reading for me.

witcher series is ok, but i dont like the way it's split up into mini-adventures with no segways. at least for the first novel. a bit jarring. great cast of characters tho and very original story.

Yea I can understand that. As someone (like most) who played the games then got interested in reading the books I do enjoy getting more back ground on all of the characters so it works for me.

The Witcher 3 was one of my favorite story based games to date. And visually (if you have a good enough PC) it was awesome.

Dont know how you manage to listen to so many things. I usually end up shutting my music at some point in the day and pass a littlewhile in silence.
Currently kinda forced to listen to the silence. Power outages everywhere. Been out 7hrs yesterday and now its been almost an hour already. Super fun to work when all you have to do requires a computer lol

jesus lol yeah that sounds like a nightmare. i keep an old 120 GB ipod for when the internet is being fussy here, but never have to deal with power outages like that.

when i started my job i'd do maybe 1-2 hours a day max. but slowly over time i conditioned myself to work while listing to audiobooks. i had a long list of books i wanted to read and made kind of a game of finishing them and crossing them off the list. i even stopped listening to music in the car for the most part and use the ipod for books while i drive.

That's what happens when you live/work on a rez. They don't exactly care about us.
My aunt used to do that. I was always facinated at how she did numbers while listening to a book. And answering every one who ever walked in her office.

yeah mechanical drafting can be a bit tough if im listening to a book, but only the hard to design stuff. most of the things i draw are a copy of a copy of a copy with a slight change. and answering customer emails while reading books stops me from punching the screen due to how incompetent they are

I feel ya. I mean i dont have much customer emailing me. But my coworkers can be pretty dumb. Or when my students email me i always have an eye ache. I have a few who cant write a 6 word sentence without addind like 5 spelling mistakes. Gives me a headache trying to understand ahaha.
I guess imma go back to beading. While i still have some sunlight. Atleast today wr wont be getting 7 inches of snow i believe.
