to be fair BoS was my first instinct too, I was just looking for skills that provide movement speed.
My first thought was Vigor but BoS seems to be the only one below lvl 9. I'm not asking for blind solutions here.
I will try stuff out on my own. Also I am not facing any 5 yos. Maybe that will comfort u

I tried out the build a bit. Basically I have 2 skill points that I dunno what to do with. None of the other skills really accomplish anything. I tried fire blast and its too inconsistent, shock web (i thought the shock would actually stun enemies - it didn't) was underwhelming but at least more consistent hit.
I liked the damage u get with 3 stacks of Tiger Stance but it accomplishes nothing with mobs and because of low attack rating it will burn all ur mana up for u to get 3 stacks. Tried dragon talon but it's just a more expensive and clunkier Psychic Hammer... Havent tried Blade Fury but it seems underwhelming without any real weapon.

I guess I'll just save the two points and if i ever need to fight someone I just use them on Tiger Stance... In terms of stats I'm thinking of going full Vitality for the added health and stamina (since I'll be running a lot) and save maybe 10 points for any decent weapon or armor i find in one of the chests...
Once I entered the Monastery (even before that) fighting any mob pack is just NOT worth it. They kick my ass or i spend too much time dancing around trying to kill them. So i figure just dodging everything and just opening up chests and rocks along the way is the way to go.
