So let me get this straight, a v/t that hunted barbs?

you have to keep in mind the fact that 90% of barbs suck major dick though, i dont see a top tier barb losing to a vt even one out of 5 duels, now to a shock charger with high charge dmg i could see them catching the barb on telestomp and locking him down with knockback from charge so he just dies before he can swap to his weps and whirl, but not for a bunch of duels in a row unless the barb is just bad. cause rly all the barb has to do even if u do catch him on staffside when he stomps, is a short whirlwind on staffside to break the charge knockback lock and then swap quickly to wep side and start whirling.

but barb is one of the harder chars to play so i find it 100% believable that a good/smart player with a shock charger could win a ft5 against a baba by fohing them down when they dont telestomp and chargelocking on staffside when they do. just saying it wont work on a top end barb who knows how foh works and how to time his movements vs that strategy.

so assuming both players are gg duelers u dont think a max dr v/t can beat a tele barb? i think it's closer than you're laying out, but trix did indeed face non-matt level barb players in that tourney. so idk rly

a max dr vt with base dr on circlet and shield and armor, would still get 5-0'd by barb. idk how barb possibly loses to smite, ask danzeva, dude dies to every barb ever created even bad ones, running and fohing is a god awful strat vs a barb with telestaff cause they will just stomp u and whirl in the direction ur charging and rly kill you. smite is also terrible because the barb has nagas or exec swords and will just whirl clip you out of range of ur smite all day long til u die, also smite dmg is negligible at best so even if u had same range as the whirlwind barb, ww does so much more dmg than smite ur gonna kill the smiter before he kills u like 75% of the time even just str8 whirling.

maybe trix had good charge dmg aswell, cause like i said then u can make the barb pay for telestomping u with telestaff by charging as soon as he lands and having a chance to lock him down with knockback from charge until he dies. in general though smiter gear is better now than it ever has been, we have multiple pallys with base dr on circlets and shields, even a 7 sol smiter with base dr on a 2os shield and circ is gonna die to a barb.

east is so infested with smiters these days ive seen the matchup more times than i ever wanted to so i feel like i am looking at that through the most educated eyes i possibly can lol. cota is the best vt ive ever seen, granted i never saw trix play vt so idk, but even cota loses to barbs on vt.

ya could well be that barbs just didnt know what to do as no v/ts were on east at the time. like trix was legit the only one made that i ever saw played in a tourney. there were tele barbs but not nearly as many and none that were world beater duelers.

id love to see trix vs a good barb just to find out what happens. i think he ran 40x 15-12s, so charge dmg would have sucked

not necessarily, my vt runs 15/9 light res and 15/5 all res and rest 15/12s and he can charge pk a dual wielding barb because i have a divine scepter 3 foh 3 convict honor on swap.

deadly strike in divine base with 160 edam is pretty fucking gg dmg tbh. i am also curious about trix on vt ive heard some rly good stuff about him and it doesnt surprise me, he did win that b tier event on druid after all, pretty impressive imo.

very solid dueler that sadly has been relegated to just a few footnotes in LLD lore.

also trix is an above average dueler and his tourney wins prove that point easily.
