this. my ladder bowa is struggling with 270 mana (have to swap some charms out for more mana), and I run out during duels, have to switch to shield for mana rep. Not using pots changes strategy. It would be totally unfair in duels if I could just drink mana pots... as pointed it out, benefits certain chars a lot more than others.

i am left but not far left, max 0 rep life + max 1 pt prayer, so i am in between the first and 2nd. the 3rd/far right is just ridiculous imo but to save arguments from happening i play as far left.

i always thought minor mana should be allowed in duels for non es sorcs. but i do like that mana preservation sets LLD apart from all the rest of D2. 18 caster v caster tho should get mana pots.

All it ever did was hurt players who couldn’t afford better gear so basically people with 100’s of more mana than you would be an advantage if you ran out before them.

Early lld I always used mana pots cause it made no sense I had to be crippled since you could afford the pricey items and I couldn’t.

Literally the only thing it should have been banned on is es sorcs.

I obviously don’t need them anymore as I use characters that don’t have mana issues now but in the beginning I always thought it was the dumbest rule

one of my first LLD memories is making a lvl 18 bowa with full inv of frw/max/ar and max/ar/life charms, losing 5-0 after going oom hard, asking to see their gear and being shocked to see 40x 15-7's

Very true, I have seen plenty of ~1k fg llds dominate. The difference between a 7.5/10 “crap char” and a 10/10 char will often come out to like 1-2 pvp hits in practice.. only hybrid builds really need to focus on great gear.
