Hahahaha derp. I remember getting stuck when you had to fight Brigg until I realized how OP Diablo was. Ff8 hands down my favorite. Would love a remake.

Not a chance. Ff6, Ff7, Ff10 all better. Heck Id even replay ff3, 4 and 5 over 9 (although thats not necessarily because i think they are better).

i will agree that it hasnt aged all that well, but not much from the PS1 era has imo. honestly, i never played 12, so i cant speak to that one.



FF9 > NES/SNES FF games > 10, 8, etc... > wiping my ass with fiberglass > FF7

Lol i tried starting 7 in the past several times and i always got bored of it(this was after i alrdy played 9), but after the first half of disc 1 or so it got better and id rank it 3rd for gameplay over story

But that boss theme is bad ass tho

3 had like no real backstory the characters were just "the chosen ones" and it was hard at first(cuz i didnt grind cuz its slow) but after just grinding 2 more levels in every spot and gaining job levels every fight made it easy...

4 on the ds was hard for no reason, i played the phone port cuz fuk... even on easy they made random encounters able to wipe u out if all enemies attacked... but story wise too it wasnt that great but id say it deserves one playthrough for the voice overs

Anyways its all opinions but 9 was the first i tried at a friends house so i bought it, and ill never get bored of the sound track

Ppl say the battle system is slow, and it is, but the game is so short anyways that its not a big deal

If i had an opinion to change the battle system, it would be to allow multiple actions/animations at the same time(such as ff13/10-2)
