Imp brow is an import and I would bet not imported exactly the same way fletch was but similar process. Importing items has been around for a long time. Importing is exactly how the ith weapons, occur rings, and other “bugged” items got into the game. Importing back in the day involved making a bugged game in which an open bnet character could join a game on closed. It involved packet sniffing and manipulation but basically you gave the items made on open to a closed bnet character and then leaving, and finally with the closed character leaving with the new item (which was then duped). I don’t recall what patch in classic ended the +skills on more than one class on an ammy but you could get one legitimately very early on in classic , I personally had a +1 sorc and zon ammy that was pretty much garbage otherwise.
Maybe not true about the occy rings etc. "Fused" uniques are a real thing, and they can drop legit. There was a legit dropped Crushflange Large Shield dropped in 1.09, probably the best level 9 throw barb shield ever haha. An old d2jsp mod owned it, I think his name was Striker_99 if you wanna search for it, although I'm sure it's gone by now.
